AOGV 18C150 BF
The 18” Class 150 BF AOGV is the first tool designed for replacing a butterfly valve on a live system. Constructed from pressure vessel steel, this AOGV features machined and welded components. The isolation system effectively separates the flanged connection, allowing for the removal of the butterfly valve and the insertion of an isolation spade. Following this, the flanges are reassembled with a new gasket positioned and seated between them, after which the isolation system is removed.
The scope of work included surveying and 3D scanning the operation location, designing the 18” Class 150 BF AOGV, conducting FEA analysis and design reporting, preparing project documentation, managing bids collection and production coordination, and overseeing production follow-up, reporting, and quality control.
18” Class 150 BF AOGV is the first tool that enabled the replacement of the butterfly valve on the live system. This AOGV consists of machined and welded parts made from pressure vessel steel. The isolation system separates the flanged connection, extracts the butterfly valve, and inserts an isolation spade. Afterward, the flanges are assembled with a new gasket inserted and seated between them, and the isolation system is removed.
